We pay attention to what’s underneath the reactions, habits, and emotional patterns that keep repeating.

How I Can Support You
I work slowly, respectfully, and at your pace, this is your journey.
Our sessions are a place where:
you don’t have to perform, explain, or hold it together
here you are met without judgement
your mind, body and nervous system are all included.
Sometimes we feel uncomfortable emotions and react in ways that seem bigger than we believe they should. We continue the same frustrating emotional reactions, even when we can see them coming, we tell ourselves next time will be different.
Then next time arrives and we just slip into our old familiar patterns of people pleasing, shutting down, self-judgment, self-sabotaging, just to name a few. We may be aware of these old patterns, but they still seem to keep us looping in these familiar but uncomfortable responses to life.
You are not broken and these old patterns make perfect sense in your lived experience and your nervous system, patterns that you unconsciously developed probably in your early years, when you had to fit in with the pressures of your world. Current Neuroscience tells us that at least 95% of our thoughts, feelings, motivations and behaviours originate in the subconscious, and most of what plays out in our responses was formed long ago.
These patterns were ways of staying safe and connected when things felt confusing, overwhelming or emotionally unsafe, it all makes sense, it’s not failure it’s logic. Your old patterns are not simply habits they are protective responses put in place to protect you, so when anything remotely resembles the past, they are there ready and waiting.
Even when you understand a pattern it doesn’t mean you won’t feel the emotion or react because the part of you that learned the response is not operating from the same place as your adult reasoning mind it’s responding to a perceived threat and past experience that’s why we can’t change these patterns by willpower and understanding.
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Mindfulness Based Inner repatterning (MBIR) both work gently with the nervous system, sending calming signals to the amygdala helping to calm the body’s stress response while acknowledging what you feel without forcing change. This somatic mind body connection creates real shifts in uncomfortable emotions, long standing patterns and responses to life.
